Our History

Founded in 2018, built for impact

Agape Leadership and Theology Academy (ALTA) was founded in 2018 by Prophet Wale Adebayo as a leadership and theological training institution committed to raising transformational leaders, kingdom-minded ministers, and individuals of character and competence for societal impact.

The Academy emerged as an educational arm of Agape World Christian Center, a vision-driven ministry established to promote spiritual growth, leadership development, and community transformation.

In 2019, the Academy commenced its first online training programmes, reaching approximately twenty students through a series of leadership and theological development courses. Following a period of strategic review and rebuilding, the Academy underwent a major rebranding and organizational transformation in 2026, expanding its scope and strengthening its operational framework.

Today, the Academy continues to be led by its Founder and President, Prophet Wale Adebayo, with Mrs. Oluwakemi Adebayo serving as Registrar, providing administrative leadership and ensuring the effective coordination of academic and institutional processes.
